2010 marks the 7th year for Riders for the Cure. Since its conception in 2004, this event has raised over $55,000 for local breast cancer research for Sara’s Project.
Donation levels are created from the product we receive from our corporate sponsors. Participants then go out and collect monetary donations from friends, family and businesses. The day of the event, they turn in their moneys (the net proceeds go to Sara’s Project at St. Charles Hospital in Bend) and however much they raised, they receive that level of prizes.
Please remember that this is a fundraiser for Sara's Project, at St. Charles, not a fundraiser for Mt Bachelor.
Top 3 fundraisers will receive a new pair of skis or a new snowboard! Snowboards courtesy of Gnu, K2 or Burton.....skis from Volkl, K2 or Salomon!

Sara’s Project is a breast health education and outreach partnership created by the St. Charles Regional Cancer Treatment Center. It was founded to promote early detection of breast cancer, build awareness and provide support to women facing cancer.
· The project honors Sara Fisher, a cherished Bend High School teacher, counselor and active community volunteer who died in 1992 after a seven-year battle with breast cancer.
· The Sara Fisher Breast Cancer Project is supported by a variety of people concerned with women’s health: local physicians, community members, breast cancer survivors, state and national partners, and the friends and family of Sara Fisher.
· More than 200 women in our communities will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year. Sara’s Project provides prevention and self-care education, free or low cost breast screenings, and it funds research, support groups and counseling.
