MtB Athlete, Wes Coughlin shared this video with us from the last month before the mountain closed and the start of his 3 month European vacation (jealous).
If you have not been watching these this year, then consider this a review. Here are some recent edits from Jim, check out his vimeo page for more. Lots of Bachelor Parks action.
Got a few more edits to post. First video is from Bachy rider Nathan Jacobson, or as he is more commonly known as, Duder.
The next 2 of them are from Snowboarder Magazine's photo shoot called The Launch presented by Rip Curl. 2010 was the 3rd year for this super sick super park event with 50 of the best groms in snowboarding. The event is invite only and took place over several days at Keystone Mountain Resort on some crazy features in Area 51. Bachelor athletes Ben Ferguson, Gabe Ferguson and Max Warbington were a few of the lucky kids that took part.
It's hard to believe but the 2009/2010 shred season is coming to an end...in a month or so! Here's a little wrap up of the Warbingtons' Season.
Things kicked off at the Dirksen Derby, a fundraiser for their buddy Tyler Eklund. Josh did a great job this year, the event was wildly popular and promises to be even bigger next year, so sign up early!
Gus had a great comeback year after the long recovery from his back injury. The Legendary Baker Banked Slalom marked his 1-year anniversary, and defending his title atop the podium was the highlight of his season. He also posted solid results at USSA Revolution Tour events at Mt Snow, Boreal & Meadows.
Both Max and Gus traveled to Brighton for one of the new Gatorade FreeFlow Tour stops, sort of Jr. Dew Tour. Max has his sights on Dew Tour next season, if he can get an invite.
Highlights for him were podium finishes at Baker Banked Slalom & Revolution Tour SS @ Hood, a win & a 3rd place at Oregon Cup events at Bachelor, and just competing alongside all the big guns vying for Olympic team spots at the Grand Prix at Mammoth. He made finals in nearly everything, (except Grand Prix HP) so it was a solid season. Max just received an email congratulating him on finishing 135th of 4000 on the TTR point list, kind of random but very cool. He was 8th overall Rev Tour Slope Style, which will earn him an invite to Grand Prix slope next season. Love your work Max.
Lots of good photos and video shots throughout the season, the guys especially had fun with the GoPro. Their vids are getting lots of exposure on YoBeat, Snow Rev and some great websites (thanks!). The Launch was awesome this year, but it's all kept under wraps until the mag comes out so we'll have to wait and check for shots then, but whatever happens, it was a great experience and lots of new tricks were learned.
Max has been followed all season by local filmer Cameron Fair, he has a pretty nice video part coming together. He got some shots in Park City as well, riding with Sage & Blaze Kotsenberg & Scotty Arnold. Local photog Tyler Orton has taken some nice stills, too.
As always, the guys really appreciate the support from Gnu, POW, Side Effect & Mt. B! And Max is thrilled to be rocking Dragon goggles!
Max will head to Mammoth for the Volcom PBRJ finals this weekend, he'll let you know how that all turns out.
Stay tuned for more info on Max and Gus and check out the latest vid from Tre Squad! Be sure to notice the Max's HUGE gap jump at the end...and the rippin' skier in yellow is our friend Lucas Wachs.
Team AthleteJoey van der Meer at it as usual and currently repping a new sponsor, 9thward Skis, congrats Joey! Checkout his profile for more videos and pics.
